The International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL) with its six Annexes has been in force for some years but, as regulation tightens and zero tolerance to environmental damage is increasingly applied, the need for companies to fully comply with MARPOL has become ever more critical.

The course is aimed at company managers, senior ships officers and Masters, Designated Persons Ashore (DPAs), superintendents, auditors, regulators and all those who inspect ships. This course can be delivered at company premises or another agreed location globally.

• Understand the consequences of non-compliance and increased regulatory oversight by numerous agencies
• Familiarisation with IMO Guidelines for completing Oil Record Books
• Outlook on future developments
