ISPS Audit (Management Level)

Our ship management consultants are able to perform an independent ISPS Audit (Management level) on behalf of a company’s management team, to determine the suitability and effectiveness of the organisation’s ISPS system.

ISPS Audit (Management Level)

The International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code took effect in July 2004, with the purpose of providing a standardised, consistent framework for evaluating risk and enabling governments to offset changes in threat with changes in vulnerability for ships and port facilities.

The ISPS Code was drafted to ensure compatibility with the International Safety Management (ISM) Code. As such, it is not intended to operate as a standalone system but should be incorporated into the existing Safety Management System (SMS). The term “company” used in this context means the party who has assumed responsibility for operation of the ship and agreed to take over all the associated duties and responsibilities.

We generate concise and accurate reports identifying non-conformities, observations and noteworthy remarks. Our aim is to assist our clients to remove non-conformities and provide pragmatic solutions to compliance issues.

Our clients often choose to combine the ISPS Audit with an ISM Audit, conducted at the same time. Please contact us to discuss your particular requirements.
